Bank Went BankRupt, What about my account?!

I am sure everyone has been thinking about the VERY APPARANT recession. Although a bunch of knuckle heads cant see it, its here to haunt us all. Banks are going out of business, rich people are getting richer… WHoopS!!

Anyway, What about my checking account? So the bank went broke, but wait.. What about my deposits that I have been using to pay off my insurance and other bills? Well the good news is that its not going to disappear. But it may take somewhere from 6 months- 2 years. So if you have no back up money, start worrying. Its always good to have some emergency cash on you. Its also important to have accounts in different banks that are not linked ( screw you WaMu! )

    I think you are right in that everyoe is worrying about their accounts. However if your account has less than $100,000.00 than no need to worry even if the bank goes under. I keep informed on this by watching the news so if ever i hear a rumor about my bank going under, I’ll be at their door first thing in the morning cashing out.
